3 Lacsonians qualify as Regional TOSP finalists

JBLFMU landed three Regional Finalist spots for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines Search.
 
Two graduates from JBLFMU Molo make it to the top 16 of the 2017 TOSP for Region VI; Thalia V. Barrio of Bachelor of Science in Cruise Ship Manangement and D/C Joeffre A. Paterno of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, and a student from JBLFMU Arevalo,  D/C Michael M. Rosal, who graduated Bachelor of Science in Marine Tranportation.
 
Barrio graduated Magna Cum Laude last March 2017 and is a Model Student, an event organizer, campus pioneer, volunteer, lead organizer and an academic scholar.  She landed the 2nd spot as finalist.
 
Paterno on the other hand graduated Cum Laude and is a 2014 System Model Cadet, Most Outstanding Graduate, Jenesys program recipient, an Iwag awardee, a Vega Manila Crewmanagement Inc. scholar and former Editor-in-Chief of the Seagull, JBLFMU Molo’s official student publication.  
 
Rosal graduated Cum Laude and is a Stolt-Nielsen scholar.
 
Barrio, Paterno and Rosal were chosen after a rigid evaluation of credentials,All three of them will be vying for  a spot in the Top 10 of the Regional Finals. If given the opportunity, they will represent Region VI  to the 2016 Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines Search that will be held sometime in August this year.
