CEO receives CMO Asia Award

Dr. Ronald Raymond Lacson Sebastian, Chief of Executive Officer of the JBLFMU, has recently become a recipient of the CMO Asia Award for Outstanding Contribution in Education for the 8th Asia’s Education Excellence Awards . The citation was received in behalf of Dr. Sebastian by the JBLFMU Molo Administrator, Capt. Alfred G. Espinosa last August 2, 2017 at Le Meridien Sentosa, Singapore.
 
The said award is of the highest stature and presented to Individuals and Institutions who have surpassed several levels of its excellence and set an example of being a role model and exemplary leaders. CMO Asia believes that Dr. Sebastian has been continuing building JBLFMU through Leadership, Innovation, Academic and Industry Interface and a supreme objective of Building future leaders. The criteria required recipients to be those who were able to make a difference (MAD) in the lives of people and for the quality of the rural work reach and outlook that contributed to social change.
 
Through an intense research process by the research cell consisting of post graduates in History Management members with more than 5 years of research experience, they were able to shortlist those that qualified the criteria. The list was ten reviewed by a jury comprising of senior professionals from across the globe. The jury is composed of the following: Dr. Arun Arora, Ex President and CEO, The Economic Times ; Chairman, Edvance Pre-schools Pvt. Ltd. & Emeritus Chairman, World HRD Congress; Dr. Harish Mehta, Chairman & MD - Onward Technologies Ltd.; Emeritus Chairman – World HRD Congress & Founder Member – NASSCOM; Professor Indira Parikh, President, Antardisha & India’s Iconic HR Leader & Ex-Dean, IIM Ahmedabad; Nina E. Woodard, President & Chief "N" Sights Officer , Nina E. Woodard & Associates, a division of NDPendence, Inc.; Dr. Saugata Mitra, Chief People Officer & Group Head HR, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd.; Dr. R L Bhatia, Founder, World CSR Day and World CSR Congress; Andrew Kelly, Chief Patron, CMO Asia; and Edward Smith, Chairman - Awards & Academic Committee, World Education Congress.
 
The award came as a surprise for Dr. Sebastian but he is very grateful to the committee for recognizing his effort of not only ensuring continuity in the quality of delivering education to JBLFMU students but also of his strong commitment for the university’s QHSE thrust. This has created offshoots like the Igang Bay Marine Sanctuary project, Guimaras Bike Paradise Project, Iloilo Bike Festival, spearheadingParaw Regatta Festival and several other environmental, health and safety projects that created a huge difference in the lives of students and communities both of Iloilo and Guimaras.
 
The Asia's Education Excellence Awards are presented by World Education Congress, CMO Asia with CMO Council as its Strategic Partner and Stars of the Industry Group as a research partner.
