Guimaras PENRO recognizes JBLFMU's environmental ventures

In a formal awarding ceremony last 28,JBLFMU received Certificates of Recognition from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) - PENRO Guimaras in recognition of its active involvement in several environmental projects in the island.

For years now, JBLFMU is very much hands-on in the protection of the environment in the province. Aside from its initiative of promoting Guimaras as a biking haven via the Guimaras Bike Paradise project, it also created the  PADYAK SERIES: A FUN RIDE FOR A CAUSE. It is a ride every 4 months all throughout the year. Padyak Kalikasan is done with a specific bike route and culminates with an environment project; Padyak Kaligtasan with an event on safety and Padyak Kalusugan with an event for health.

The EXPANSION AND SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF THE IGANG BAY MARINE SANCTUARY has taken in several partners locally and internationally which has currently created a significant improvement in the maritime flora and fauna of the area. This has led to the institutionalization of the GUIMARAS ALLIANCE OF PROTECTED AREAS AND SANCTUARIES (GAPAS).

The certificates were received by the JBLFMU CEO himself, Dr. Ronald Raymond Lacson Sebastian with Ms. Mary Mhar G. Esmana, CES Coordinator as attendee.
