Guimaras: Bike Paradise of The Philippines is an innovative bike tourism project proposed by the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University and fully endorsed and supported by the Provincial Government of Guimaras and its five municipalities.
The project will connect and design bike trails, together with nearby communities, to link resorts and tourists spots all over Guimaras Island in order to create a compilation of locations and trails accessible by bike. All trails will start in a resort or guesthouse to provide tourists with the convenience of having lodgings.
All these trails will be interconnected and centralized into a comprehensive bike trail map that will allow visitors to try out different trails and truly immerse themselves in the beauty of the island for a different kind of tourist adventure.
Guimaras Island is accessible via a 15-minute boat ride from the Ortiz Jetty or Parola Jetty in Iloilo City. Entry into the island is through the Jordan and Buenavista Wharfs.
