Community Extension Services is an integral function of institutions for higher learning with the purpose of providing avenues for change, leadership and for the sustainable development of communities. It is tasked to package, demonstrate, and apply appropriate technologies and processes generated by the institution through research and technical studies for adoption in selected communities.

John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, as an institution of higher learning, is mandated to perform extension services and has qualified faculty and staff to undertake the extension functions. Knowledge and skills developed by the University shall be shared to bring about improvement of the quality of life of the disadvantaged and underserved partners for development.
