After rigorous screening, one young leader from JBLFMU qualified for this year’s  the Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC). Mdpn Gerardo Manzano, a sophomore of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation of the JBLFMU Arevalo is one of the final 80 chosen during the final phase of the selection  held November 29 to December 1.

The Corps Commander of the 802nd Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Unit of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, Mdpn. Commander Joseph A. Lopez, will travel to Guam on November 13 for a weeklong exchange student program of the Guam National Guard.
 

After a series of self-introduction, talent portion, and interview, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Arevalo sashed Midshipmen Laurence Andrew Catanzaro, Alfred James Espinosa and Jaypee Peruelo as Unit Model Cadets 2016 at the JBL Hall.

To promote the 16th National Student Art Competition, representatives from Vision Petron visited John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Arevalo this morning at JBL hall.

With the theme “Tuklas Kapaligiran”, Vision Petron invests on the youth in discovering the Philippine culture and also highlights the best and most unique features of our country.
“Vision Petron rediscovers your heritage,” said Jay Bautista, the resource speaker from VP.

 

JBLCF Bacolod

The JBLCF Bacolod recently won the Silver Seal Award for the Seal of Good Environmental Governance from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental thru the Provincial Environment and Management Office (PEMO) during the Provincial Environmental Week Celebration held at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City last June 23, 2017.
 
Last year the unit became a recipient of the Bronze Seal Award.

After the heat of the competition died down, Ms. Valerie Escamilla, 4th year student of the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management of JBLCF Bacolod, emerged as the 2016 Ms. Masskara Queen. Coronation was held at the SMX Convention Center-Bacolod last Saturday, October 15.
 

I was born in a middle class family... the reason that i have to survive and persevere in life in order to succeed. My parents raised me well. I grew up with good character and values.

In a battle for latte art supremacy, a Lacsonian alumni emerged as champion.
 
Jan Anthony Bigcas, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Cruiseship Management from JBLFMU Molo in 2010 and now Barista of the coffee shop Art Deck, bested all other competitors from different coffee shops in Iloilo City for the Crossroads Summer Ender Latte Art Throwdown last January 24..
 

Ms. Janina Espinosa, a 2011 Bachelor of Science in Tourism graduate of the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University Molo landed the top 10 for the Supermodel International 2017 held in New Delhi, India last April 22. Morpheus Hub Events and Productions, Ms. Espinoza’s mother studio, congratulated Miss Philippines Janina Espinoza for her Top 10 finish for it already is a great honor for the country.

Bringing their academe on the international front, Mdpn. Steven Tajonera and Mdpn. Jann Heinrich Aguilar, Marine Engineering students of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo represented the country at the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) 17th Annual General Assembly held at Haiphong City, Vietnam, October 26-29.

Eighteen-year-old Angelica Estrevilla of the Bachelor of Science in Tourism will represent Iloilo for the Search for Ms. Silka Philippines 2016. Thirty beautiful and vibrant women representing provinces all over the Philippines will vie for the said title tomorrow, Nov. 12 at the Glorietta Activity Center.

Quality Assurance Manager Edmundo Pragados of the JBLFMU Molo receives the recognition as one of the Ten Outstanding PERAA Members (TOPM), Most Outstanding Administrative Head from the 44th PERAA Anniversary Celebration held at Marriot Hotel, Cebu City on 21 October 2016.
 
Paragados was endorsed by the university for selection and qualified for the Top 5 for this year. He said that he did not know he was chosen for the announcement of winners which was done during the gathering itself.
