JA-Agboy ES BLT practice notch nat’l championship
FAC standards, “Piso mo,igma ko” and other sustainability mechanisms. These are among the many features of the JA BLT practice in Agboy Elementary School which brought the school to the top spot in the first ever Busog, Lusog, Talino National Excellence Award of the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF). “Our intervention in the school feeding program was complemented by hardwork, creativity and resourcefulness of the principal, feeding coordinator, and the parents,” said Dr. Shirley G. Hampac, JA-CES officer.“
Bagging the championship in the national level proves our labor is not in vain,” she further related. Attorney Lorna D. Gellada, JA Administrator, Mrs. Yolanda Peniero, Agboy ES principal, and Mrs. Gemma Espana, Agboy ES feeding coordinator, received the said recognition last May 4, 2015 in the awarding rites done in Crownne Plaza Hotel, Pasig City, Manila.
“I am so grateful to the unwavering support of the administration through Atty. Gellada, and to the LGU of Leon through Mayor Rolito Cajilig and the BLT focal person Mrs. Ma. Theresa de los Reyes. Likewise, the help of an NGO such as LESCOFAMPCO represented by Mrs. Marjorie Calagsing has also contributed to the success of the program in Agboy ES,” Dr. Hampac added. As an Area Implementing Partner (AIP), a separate plaque was awarded to JA and was donned to Dr. Hampac in a separate awarding ceremony for implementers of BLT around the country on the next day, May 5.
