The Commission on Higher Education – Negros Island Region (CHED-NIR) successfully held its 2nd Regional Quality Awards, recognizing Higher Education Institutions for their outstanding contributions and achievements in various areas of academic excellence, innovation, and internationalization. The event highlighted the commitment of educational institutions in the region to quality education and global competitiveness.
Among the awardees was John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation – Bacolod, which received the International Ranking and Recognition Award in recognition of its recent ranking in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026.
The award reflects the institution’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and international engagement in higher education. Receiving the award on behalf of the institution were Dr. Sylvino V. Tupas, Administrator; Mr. Jun C. Montano, International Relations Coordinator; and Mr. Ivan June Gayotin, Community Extension Services Coordinator.
