The Lacsonian Community was honored to welcome Dr. Raul C. Alvarez Jr., Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education – Negros Island Region (CHED NIR), for a meaningful dialogue with the institution's academic leaders.

The discussion centered on the strategic directions of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation (Bacolod), Inc. in fully maximizing its CHED Autonomous Status to further strengthen and elevate Maritime Education and Training (MET) alongside the institution's business, education, hospitality, customs administration, and basic education programs, to better respond to the evolving needs of higher education and the industries we serve. As one of the few higher education institutions in the region granted this prestigious status, JBLCF–Bacolod remains committed to expanding its impact through academic excellence, innovation, industry relevance, and quality assurance—proving that we are truly Maritime and More.
We sincerely thank Director Alvarez for his invaluable insights, inspiring guidance, and meaningful challenges that continue to motivate us toward greater institutional excellence and service to our stakeholders.

Together, we remain steadfast in shaping globally competitive professionals and creating a lasting impact in the maritime industry, the region, and beyond.
We Lead, We Excel: The Lacsonian Legacy.
