John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. celebrated National Womenโ€™s Month on March 6 at JBL Hall, holding activities that promoted womenโ€™s empowerment, wellness, and health awareness. The event gathered employees for a program centered on gender awareness and well-being.

The morning session featured pampering activities, including foot reflexology, massages, manicure, and pedicure for employees. Short talks on equity and the Safe Spaces Act highlighted the importance of maintaining respectful and safe workplaces.

In the afternoon, the Gender and Development (GAD) seminar entitled โ€œWomen and Men Health Care Strategiesโ€ focused on improving health and lifestyle practices. Guest speaker Dr. Faye Dominique R. Palmares discussed diet and lifestyle changes and the benefit of being mindful of oneโ€™s health to maintain overall wellness.

The program was a way the university reaffirmed its commitment to health awareness, promoting womenโ€™s welfare, and fostering an inclusive campus community.
