LACSONIANS GO RESEARCH SAVVY WITH  RESEARCH CAPABILITY TRAINING WORKSHOP ‘22

Calibrating the research capabilities of its stakeholders, a Research Capability Training Workshop sponsored by the Research and Development Center of the university was held through a hyflex setting today.

Selected department heads and administrative staff attended the workshop, due to write faculty for school-year 2022-2023, selected Graduate School students, BSMT 2 students, Senior High School Students, and partner schools of JBLFMU-Arevalo Community and Extension Services (CES).

In the morning session, Engr. Roderick R. Germo, Ph.D., JBLFMU Research Committee Member, walked through the participants with "Review of the Basic Concepts of Research". While Prof. Sheryl R. Morales, ETCOR Consultant, shared her expertise on Qualitative Research.

In the afternoon session, Dr. Richard P. Riego, Faculty of Zarraga National High School, lectured about "Writing Action and Developmental Researches using the ADDIE Model." While Dr. Dennis V. Madrigal, Graduate School Dean of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, shared his "Tips in Writing a Publishable Research Paper".

This event also included an open forum and presentation and critiquing selected research proposals with Dr. Madrigal as the critic.

In addition, Dr. Brian Gil S. Sarinas, Unit Research Coordinator, spearheaded the successful activity with participants attending in person and via Zoom.

The activity emphasized the role of research in improving the lives of the stakeholders as one of the three-fold functions of the university along with instruction and extension.
