Felisa N. Orongan, newly appointed Regional Director of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) for Region VI visited John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) on December 6, 2021.

Dir. Orongan was welcomed by CEO, Dr. Ronald Raymond Sebastian together with Chairman of The Board, Dr. Mary Lou Lacson Arcelo, Executive Assistant to the CEO, Capt. Luis Evidente, JBLFMU Molo Administrator, Robert Parcia and JBLFMU Arevalo Administrator, Capt. Alfred Espinosa.

The visit commenced with a courtesy call to the CEO's Office and progressed to a tour of the Center of Review and Competency Assessment (CRCA) where Capt. Evidente oriented the director on the functions of the flagship department. The group later moved on to a quick tour of the JBLFMU Museum with Capt. Evidente and Dr. Sebastian acting as tour guides. The visit ended with a short trip to MV Capt. John B. Lacson.

Dir. Orongan was accompanied by Atty Nicole Marie Amuan and other MARINA Region VI representatives.
