First-year students of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation Bacolod (JBLCF-B) were greeted with loud cheers as they proudly marched beneath the banners of their respective departments toward the campus covered court on June 17.
βFreshmen Week is a time to celebrate new beginnings, build connections, and embrace the opportunities that await you in college,β said Mark Anthony G. Apurado, Supreme Student Government (SSG) adviser, as he welcomed students to take part in the activities prepared for them.

The introduction of the Freshmen Icons followed, with participants presenting themselves before the audience and showcasing their confidence through their walks, receiving support and applause from the crowd.
βI would like to emphasize the values of compassion, respect, and commitment toward our community, the environment, and one another, β said Sir Ivan June O. Gayotin, Community Extension Services Officer, inspiring the students to work together in building a better and more sustainable future.
One of the highlights of the event saw freshmen commemorate a significant milestone by painting their hands and leaving handprints on the mural.
Moreover, the activity was followed by a Zumba session and an engaging Human Bingo game, providing first-year students with an opportunity to interact and build connections as they start their journey in the maritime industry.
