The NaMMAT, conducted by the Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM), is a CHED-required aptitude test for aspiring students who wish to pursue BS Marine Transportation (BSMT) or BS Marine Engineering (BSMarE). It evaluates their readiness and potential for maritime studiesโensuring that future seafarers meet the highest standards of the global maritime industry.
Before and after the test, examinees toured JBLCFโBacolodโs state-of-the-art simulators, laboratories, and classrooms, offering them a firsthand glimpse of life as a true Maritime Vanguard. To ensure a smooth experience, the school provided free snacks and bus rides from Bongbongโs to the campus, and even accommodated walk-in examinees throughout the day.
This day marks a new chapter in the journey of hundreds of young dreamersโfuture mariners who now take their first steps toward a life of purpose, passion, and adventure at sea.
At JBLCFโBacolod, the journey to becoming a world-class seafarer truly begins.
