Today, April 30, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Molo), Inc. conducted its annual Starboard Awards Night, recognizing student leaders and organizations for their contributions and formally marking the transition of leadership within the student body.

The event opened with a processional of organization members, council officers, Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers, advisers, and school heads, followed by an opening message from Ma’am Nancy Rose R. Pelopero, Head of Student Affairs Services.
Recognition rites were held for clubs and organizations, council officers, and outstanding student leaders, honouring their achievements and involvement in campus initiatives throughout the academic year.
Moreover, speeches from outgoing council advisers Dr. Roland John Cyril Emague and Dr. Marybec Guillergan, BUS SEC Governor Roland Ganzon, MED SEC Governor Justin Klent Villegas, and SSG President Keana Rose Cabuyoc were delivered, reflecting on their tenure and experiences in office.
Tonight's highlight, The Starboard Awards, recognized outstanding class presidents, class chief engineers, school organizations, and organization presidents, honoring their exemplary performance and significant contributions to their student community.
A turnover ceremony, referred to as the Turnover of the Key of Responsibility, symbolized the formal transfer of leadership, followed by the induction of newly elected council officers.
The Starboard Awards Night serves as an annual platform for recognizing student excellence and ensuring continuity in student leadership.
