Lacsonian Alumni on Spotlight

This week, we feature ๐™€๐™ซ๐™š๐™ก๐™ฎ๐™ฃ ๐™ˆ. ๐™๐™ข๐™–๐™˜๐™ค๐™— ๐™…๐™–๐™ก๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ค-๐™ค๐™ฃ, a BS Customs Administration graduate of Batch 1993, whose journey reflects perseverance, integrity, and faith shaped by her years at JBLFMU-Molo, Inc.

Evelyn chose John B. Molo because it was the only school offering her chosen field. Her student life was shaped by determination and responsibility. As a working student, she took on jobs outside school to support herself and help her younger brothers. These commitments limited her participation in extracurricular activities, yet she dedicated herself fully to her studies and responsibilities at home. Through this experience, she developed discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of self-reliance.

Integrity and Godliness guided Evelyn through her journey. Integrity helped her maintain strong morals, build trust, and succeed in all areas of life. Godliness encouraged her to put faith first and trust in the Lordโ€™s plans. These values enabled her to face anxiousness and uncertainty in the demanding field of Customs Administration with courage and composure.

Evelyn currently serves as Customs Operations Officer III at the Bureau of Customs, Iloilo, where she oversees the processing of export transactions, ensures compliance with customs laws, and coordinates operational activities to maintain efficiency and integrity. She also serves as Acting Chief of the Export Division and Head of the PEZA Unit, managing special economic zone transactions and aligning with Philippine Economic Zone Authority regulations.

Her dedication earned her the Idol sa Aduana 2021 award, a recognition based on achievements, years of service, performance ratings, and votes by stakeholders. The award reflects her commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, and leadership in her field.

A piece of advice that guides her is:

Her patience, perseverance, and faith have shaped her into a leader who balances responsibility with empathy, skill with humility, and excellence with integrity.

To the current generation of Lacsonians, she shares:
