Mdpnโ€ค Paul Jedrick Pโ€ค Villanuevaโ€š a Polaris 3B student from the College of Maritime Engineeringโ€š was named as one of the Top 10 finalists of the ASEAN Youth Speech Contest 2026 among over a thousand entries from all Southeast Asian countriesโ€ค


He is one of only three Filipino contenders to enter the ASEAN competitionโ€š which brought prideโ€š honorโ€š and recognition to the Lacsonian community and the Philippinesโ€ค


His selection is a testament to his sustained effort in campus journalism and public speaking, where he contributes as Sports Editor of The Seagull Publication and as a Polaris cadet.


The final round of the contest will be held on August 6, 2026 at C asean, CW Tower, Bangkok, Thailand, where finalists will compete under the theme โ€œNavigating Our Future, Togetherโ€.
