John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Molo), Inc. conducts a mass blood donation drive at the CSM Hall on Wednesday, August 5, with the theme "Drop by Drop: Sustaining Lives Together."

The event is led by the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals Molo Chapter and JBLFMU-Molo, in partnership with Western Visayas Medical Center, bringing together individuals to become blood donors and help save lives.
As WVMC Blood Bank Medical Officer Dr. Mark Anthony Planto III states, "To maintain the adequacy of our blood supply, we can continue providing services to our patients," emphasizing the importance of sustaining an adequate blood inventory for those in need.

Dr. Planto adds, "Everyone should be aware of blood donation activities to encourage them to donate every three months after their most recent donation."
In order for them to be an official donor, an individual is ensured to have at least 6-8 hours of sleep, proper hydration, and good nutrition with a proper meal before the activity takes place. This assures not just the beneficiary's health but also the donor's.
Beyond collecting life-saving blood units, the event highlights an initiative in which individuals who maintain the balance not just in blood storage but also give back to the community in service and charity for all.
