On August 29, 2026, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University marked the turnover of the Mangrove Footbridge and Gazebo and the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with JCI Regatta-Iloilo. Generously funded by Stolt-Nielsen through JCI Regatta-Iloilo, with the valuable efforts of C/M Joey Infante, former CI Expert and lead for Environmental Projects of Stolt-Nielsen and a Board Member of JBLCF Puerto del Mar, the project reflects the impact of partnerships in advancing environmental conservation, sustainable development, and community engagement. The Mangrove Footbridge and Gazebo will provide a meaningful space for learning, appreciation, and greater awareness of the importance of preserving the mangrove ecosystem.

Present during the gathering were JBLFMU CEO Dr. Ronald Raymond L. Sebastian, Mr. John Znon B. Sebastian, Member of the JBLFMU Board of Trustees, Dr. Mary Mhar Jaleco, CES Coordinator, and Ms. Krizna Joy Belencion, CES Officer of JBLFMU (Molo), representing the school administrator.
This milestone highlights JBLFMU’s continued efforts to build partnerships that create lasting contributions to environmental protection and community development. JBLFMU extends its heartfelt gratitude to JCI Regatta-Iloilo and Stolt-Nielsen for their generous support and commitment to environmental sustainability.
