JBLFMU retains 3rd spot among universities in Iloilo, ranked 55th in the Philippines University Rankings - EduRank

John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University ranked 55th out of 229 universities in the Philippines and 3rd in Iloilo according to EduRank, an independent metric-based ranking website, as of March 2025.

JBLFMU's latest national ranking climbed 4 spots from its previous position at 59 and retained the same position as 3rd place out of 9 universities in Iloilo as last year.
EduRank primarily bases its university rankings on research performance, non-academic prominence, and alumni influence, analyzing academic publications, citations, and alumni popularity.
Moreover, JBLFMU contributed significantly to this ranking with 75 scientific papers published and 93 citations received.
The score of EduRank's overall ranking consists of 3 parts: 45% Research Performance, 45% Non-academic Prominence, and 10% Alumni Score.
With this achievement, JBLFMU further proves that Lacsonians are not just vanguards of excellence in the maritime industry; we are more.
