The College of Maritime Education of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Molo) conducted their commissioning and turnover of students' Research Innovation Projects onboard the M/V Capt. John B. Lacson, May 30.

With the guests all eager to witness the students' culmination of months of maritime research and innovation, the research presented were:
1. "Design and Development of Modular Bilge Alarm System with Alarm History of Capt. John B. Lacson" presented by Mdpn. Adrian Antoni A. Senibalo (BSMarE 3 -England)
2. "Design and Development of Exhaust Gas Monitoring and Alarm System of Marine Diesel Engine" presented by Mdpn. Jay M. Victoriano (BSMarE 3-England)

The event was attended by Dr. Ronald Raymond Sebastian, Chief Executive Officer of JBLFMU; Ms. Ana Mae Roberto, Research Department Unit Head of the Department of Science and Technology - Region VI; Capt. Jonathan Villaflor, General Manager of the JBL Maritime Vanguard Services, Inc.; Mr. Robert Parcia, Unit Administrator of JBLFMU-Arevalo; M/V Capt. John B. Lacson JBL Maritime Vanguard Personnel and Crew; C/E Agustin Bedia, Dean of the College of Maritime Education of JBLFMU-Molo; faculty and staff; and other notable guests.

These innovation projects were made possible through the generosity, pool of talents and expertise of the College of Maritime Education instructors at the helm of Engr. Roberto Neal S. Sobrejuanite, Administrator of JBLFMU-Molo; Engr. Allan A. Roberto, Automation Consultant; Engr. Jovic L. Montaรฑo and Engr. Louie D. Sorio, Subject Matter Experts from the Field; and Dr. Elsie F. Gancia, Research Adviser.

With the aim to encourage ongoing exploration and development in maritime studies within the university and among its students, the event concluded with a ceremonial turnover of equipment and documents.
