Bacolod City, July 15, 2025 โ Delegates from John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo (JBLFMU-Molo) attended a two-day Strategic Capacity Building event on July 14-15, 2025, at the University of Negros Occidentales-Recoletos, focusing on global university rankings with 28 institutions from Region VI and Region XVIII.


The JBLFMU-Molo delegation, composed of Dr. Rolando Alimen, Dr. Louise May Lim, Engr. Rogelio Baria Jr., Mrs. Nancy Rose Pelopero, and Ms. Krizna Joy Belencion, participated in this high-level forum designed to enhance institutional performance in prestigious global rankings such as the Worldโs Universities with Real Impact (WURI), Times Higher Education (THE), and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
Organized under the guidance of Regional Director Dr. Raul Alvarez, Jr. of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the capacity building aimed to equip participating institutions with strategies and best practices to elevate their global standing. The program emphasized aligning university initiatives with the criteria of these influential ranking systems to foster excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and societal impact.
JBLFMU-Moloโs involvement underscores its commitment to continuous improvement and global competitiveness. By actively engaging in this collaborative learning opportunity, the university is positioning itself to strengthen its international presence and deliver enhanced educational outcomes for its students and stakeholders.
