JBLFMU-Molo and NISU seal partnership through MOA and MOU signing

John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Molo), Inc. and Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 22 at the JBLFMU-Molo audio visual room, formalizing their partnership in research and academic collaboration.

The event featured research presentations from both universities, including projects on ship heeling systems, refrigeration units for fishing boats, and the upgrading of marine sewage treatment plants.

In his welcome message, Engr. Roberto Neal S. Sobrejuanite, administrator of JBLFMU-Molo, emphasized cooperation, saying, “Indeed, no man is an island in today’s world… we cannot live without the help of others. We now live in a small world because of interdependence and we look forward to this meaningful partnership with NISU.”

Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo, president of NISU, also expressed support, noting, “Your university is our new local partner and this is in the pursuit of productive collaboration.”

The program concluded with the formal signing of the agreements, officially beginning the institutions’ partnership in academic and research initiatives.
