𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 | Dr. Lim joins IConGCED 2025 in South Korea


Dr. Louise May M. Lim, International Relations Coordinator of JBLFMU-Molo and Asia Pacific Training Workshop alumna and mentee, participated in the 10th International Conference on Global Citizenship Education (IConGCED) held on August 27 and 28 at Seoul Dragon City, South Korea.

Organized by APCEIU, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, in partnership with UNESCO, MGIEP, and Chungnam National University, the conference gathered diverse global stakeholders from academia, government, civil society, and the private sector to share best practices and innovative approaches for advancing GCED under SDG Target 4.7.

Under the theme β€œDemocracy in the Post-Truth Crisis: The Role of GCED,” the event explored how education can empower democratic citizenship, foster social cohesion, and promote peace amid challenges like misinformation, polarization, and socio-economic divides, highlighting the vital role of GCED in building a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
