Dr. Mary Lou Lacson-Arcelo, President Emeritus and Chairman of the JBLFMU Board of Trustees, was recently honored by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo as Captain of the Industry for Education during the 120th year celebration of the Iloilo Chamber Movement at the Iloilo Convention Center.
The recognition highlights her decades of leadership, her impact on maritime education, and her role in guiding JBLFMU to national and global prominence. She was joined by CEO Dr. Ronald Raymond L. Sebastian and grandchildren John B. Znon Sebastian and Jazleen Joi B. Sebastian, who continue the family’s commitment to service and excellence.
With the theme “Honoring the Past. Shaping the Future.” the award reflects Dr. Mary Lou’s lasting contributions and the values she continues to inspire across the Lacsonian community.
