The program began with a prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the JBLFMU Hymn. To ensure a safe and orderly event, Mr. Rex C. Castañeda, Safety Officer, shared important safety reminders with the participants.

In his opening remarks, Engr. Roberto Neal S. Sobrejuanite, Unit Administrator, emphasized the value of research and innovation in improving academic practices and advancing maritime education. This was followed by Dr. Rolando A. Alimen, Research Coordinator, who presented the guidelines and criteria for the proposals.
The Board of Judges was formally introduced by Dr. Victor Ruperto B. Jaleco, Research Committee Member, before the start of the presentations.

The highlight of the program was the presentation of innovation research proposals from both faculty, staff, and students. Proponents were grouped into Category A (Faculty and Staff) and Category B (Students), with each presentation followed by a question-and-answer portion that allowed judges to better understand the proposed ideas.
The event ended with the awarding of certificates to the judges and winning presenters. Dr. Stella S. Cantor served as the Master of Ceremony throughout the program.
