John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Molo), Inc. The Cruisers Club initiated the flag-raising ceremony at the university gymnasium this January 20, 2026.
The school administrator, Engr. Roberto Neal S. Sobrejuanite gave information about what will need to be prepared during the 78th Foundation Week and reminded the students to not neglect their obligations as students during the said event.
Dr. Melalyn Servento, a faculty member, delivered a motivational talk on perseverance, one of the institution's core values, emphasizing that “perseverance is not a virtue; it is a necessity.”
The ceremony concluded with a motto shared by Dr. Servento, “By hook or by crook, ga-graduate ako on time,” which expresses the determination to finish one’s studies on time by any means necessary.
