CoMSCA Share-Out: Supporting Community Livelihoods and Financial Inclusion


The CoMSCA (Community Savings and Credit Association) is an alternative livelihood initiative of the Parents for Education and Environmental Advocate of Poblacion (PEEAP) in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, established in 2018. Through group savings and loan schemes, members are provided opportunities to fund livelihood projects and improve household income. In December 2022, PEEAP members participated in the annual CoMSCA share-out. On December 20, the Fast Cash Group shared a total of Php 79,865.00, with each member receiving an 11% interest on their shares. Meanwhile, the Tablak Group conducted their share-out on December 22, distributing Php 56,115.00, with members receiving 11.19% ROI. These share-outs not only provide financial returns to participants but also promote financial literacy, community empowerment, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development.
