Mission in Action: Collective Environmental Stewardship at JBLCF–Puerto del Mar and Igang Bay Marine Sanctuary

In conjunction with the JBLFMU/JBLCF/JBLF Inc. Mission Objective Week and the International Clean-Up Drive, and in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) of JBLCF–Puerto del Mar, a series of environmental activities were successfully conducted on September 14–15, 2023. These initiatives aimed to strengthen environmental stewardship and deepen community engagement. Activities included a coastal and facilities clean-up, mangrove bagging for ecosystem restoration, and the beautification of the butterfly habitat. The team also undertook layout planning to transform the environmental library into an exhibit room, mapped mangrove and forest areas for future reforestation, and completed mural paintings to enhance the site’s visual appeal. Together, these efforts reinforced a shared commitment to conservation, education, and sustainable community action.
