Strengthening Coastal Resilience Through Mangrove Restoration Partnerships

Stolt Nielsen Philippines and JCI Regatta, in partnership with JBLFMU, advanced environmental conservation through a joint Mangrove Planting Activity on September 16, 2023, at the Igang Bay Marine Sanctuary. A total of 300 mangrove seedlings were planted, adding to the 900 seedlings established during an earlier activity on July 9, 2023. The initiative was led by JBLFMU Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ronald Raymond L. Sebastian, together with unit administrators and representatives from Stolt Nielsen and JCI Regatta. The activity also featured the unveiling of an informational board on the Mangrove Forest to promote public awareness of mangrove ecosystem services. This collaborative effort underscores the vital role of multi-sectoral partnerships in strengthening coastal resilience and advancing long-term environmental sustainability.
