JBLFMU Customs Students Plant Mangroves for Coastal Conservation

On November 9, 2024, the Philippine Society of Customs Administration Students – Molo Chapter, together with Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration students, faculty, alumni, and employees, participated in a mangrove planting activity at Puerto Del Mar, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. This initiative supports JBLFMU’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection and coastal ecosystem preservation.

Volunteers actively engaged in bagging and planting mangroves, contributing to shoreline stabilization, habitat restoration, and the promotion of marine biodiversity. The collaborative effort also strengthened awareness of sustainable environmental practices among students and the wider JBLFMU community.

By fostering hands-on conservation initiatives, this activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 13 and 14, demonstrating JBLFMU’s dedication to nurturing environmentally responsible leaders and ensuring healthier, resilient coastal ecosystems for future generations.
