The PHILIPPINE SOCIETY FOR EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND EVALUATION, INC. (PSERE) successfully gathered educators, researchers, and environmental advocates during the conference held at Centro Escolar University last May 20–21, 2026, highlighting the theme of advancing smart and inclusive climate action toward a sustainable future.
The conference was enriched by the inspiring message of the Keynote Speaker, Ms. Aline Genato-Magalong, Director III of the Higher Education Development Fund Staff, who emphasized “Responsible Stewardship Toward a Smart and Sustainable Planet,” encouraging academic institutions, educators, and students to actively contribute to sustainable development through innovation, collaboration, and environmental responsibility.

The event featured distinguished plenary speakers:
- Secretary Robert E.A. Borje – National Climate Agenda: Advancing Smart and Inclusive Climate Action
- Dr. Ramon Jesus P. Paje – Innovative Solutions for Climate Action
- Dr. Lourdes J. Cruz – Smart Technologies for Environmental Sustainability
- Mr. Gifford Jay L. Agudo – Data-Driven Approaches for Safer and Greener Campuses
The conference emphasized innovative environmental initiatives, smart technologies, climate action, and sustainable campus practices aligned with responsible stewardship for a smart planet.
Congratulations to Bernard M. Sorbito Jr. and Emeliza T. Estimo of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation-Bacolod for their paper presentation entitled “From Framework to Practice: Accomplishments, Challenges, and Sustainability of an Integrated Environmental Management Program Toward ISO 14001:2015 Compliance.”
