Volunteerism plays a crucial role in fostering community development and addressing societal challenges. In this particular case, the John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation Bacolod collaborated with the ABC+ Project, advancing basic education in the Philippines under the Department of Education in partnership with the RTI International and US-Aid.  Our efforts focused on repacking and sorting elementary school supplies to be delivered to selected schools in Negros Occidental, which had been severely affected by typhoons and calamities.

The volunteer work done by JBLCF- Bacolod in collaboration with the ABC+ Project served as a powerful example of how individuals and organizations can make a tangible difference in the lives of others. By providing assistance in repacking and sorting elementary school supplies, they supported the advancement of basic education in the Philippines, promoted community resilience, and helped create a brighter future for the affected schools and students in Negros Occidental.

Present during the repacking were the JBLCF- Bacolod Faculty and Staff with our Administrator, Engr. Roberto Neal Sobrejuanite, incoming Supreme Student Government with its President, Mdpn. Joppy Castillo, 824th NROTC Unit, our community partners- 4Ps Grantees under the DSWD, RMA Manpower & Services, and the ABC+ Project Staff led by Mr. Luisito Gelmo (Regional Program Manager for Western Visayas and BARMM) and Mr. Darryl Gutierrez (Deputy Chief of Party for Operations).

Thank you for everyone's time and commitment in making this project a success.
