In line with the transition to the 'new normal', the Shipboard Training Office (STO) of JBLCF-B conducted its first virtual pre-employment seminar for graduating students from the College of Maritime Education.

Led by various government agencies, this virtual seminar aims to equip the graduating students with the knowledge in preparation for their transition from school to the actual work environment.

Five resource speakers from various government agencies in the province were invited. They are Luis Gonzalez, Chief Statistical Officer of the Philippine Statistics Authority (Negros Occidental); Raymond John Villanueva of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Engr. Rufina Aquino from Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA); Floramie Belarte Magbato from Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Bacolod; and Martizel Taclobos of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Bacolod City.
