JBLFMU-AREVALO HOLDS FIRST F2F FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY AFTER 2 YEARS

After two years of online instruction, JBLFMU-A finally conducted a face-to-face flag-raising ceremony last March 21, 2022.

The ceremony opened the hybrid face-to-face classes of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) students who will be taking their laboratory requirements.

Compliant with the Alert Level 1 health protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), the students were divided into two class clusters with two face-to-face meetings.

“The conduct of the limited F2F classes is preparing the students, as the school looks forward, for a physical graduation ceremony of Batch 2021-2022 this June”, said C/M Virmari S. Tan, Ph.D., BSMT Dean.

The reopening of F2F classes also motivated several students as they can finally take a hands-on experience with the equipment onboard like Radar and ECDIS.

"F2F classes have always been beneficial especially to us who need to have actual laboratory instructions before we graduate," said Mdpn. Henry Burcag, a Polaris 3B student.

The ceremony also recognized the winners of the recently-concluded JBLFMU Foundation Week held virtually last February.
