JBLFMU-A ADMIN FEATURED IN THE MANILA TIMES

JBLFMU-A’s very own Capt. Alfred Espinosa finds his way in an online business feature of The Manila Times.

Yashika F. Torib's article entitled "Paying forward with the sea and its men" featured the inspiring story of how a young boy that once foraged crabs along the shores of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras for dinner became the administrator of a renowned maritime institution in the Philippines.

The article featured his humble beginnings as a young boy, the conception of his seafaring dream, his sacrifices to earn the rank of a Captain and his feat of becoming the university’s Administrator.

"The cycle of my teaching-seafaring life motivated me to continue serving my Alma Mater. The value of sharing my experience and knowledge with the young students and seafarers alike makes inner self-fulfillment. Seeing their success in contributing to the safe transportation of goods around the world is also a matter of achievement," Capt. Espinosa shared.

The article also included a few sneak peeks of events following JBLFMU's 75th founding anniversary next year.
