JBLFMU-A ORGS FURTHER STRENGTHEN ‘SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY’ EFFORTS THROUGH MANGROVE PLANTING EVENT IN LEGANES ILOILO

In this academe, the commitment to environmental planting initiatives never ends.

Exemplifying social responsibility as a strong and promising pillar of the university, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc., along with various maritime organizations and offices, embarked on a Mangrove Planting activity at Leganes Katunggan Eco Park today, September 24.

This initiative aligns with the observance of National Maritime Week 2023, which aims to "emphasize the importance of preserving marine ecosystems and biodiversity."

Furthermore, representatives from various organizations, including the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), the Philippine Coast Guard, Titans Eagles Club, F.F. Cruz Shipping Corp., Lacson Marine Consultancy Services, and campus-based groups such as the Community Extension Services, Red Cross Youth, Boy Scouts of the Philippines, the Fifth District Sailors Organization (FIDISO), and Lapis Guild Organization, joined forces in the event.
