Third-year Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) student Mdpn. Al Zydric C. Adolacion from this university clinched the third place award in the 17th National Oratorical Contest held at AMOSUP Convention Hall in Intramuros, Manila.

This contest was held as part of the 28th National Seafarers' Day celebration, centered around the theme "Marinong Filipino: Patuloy sa Pangangalaga ng Karagatan."

Notably, Mdpn. Adolacion from the section Barque received coaching from both Mr. Jehiel C. Caman and Mrs. Cecilia Salinas, both faculty of the BSMT Department.
