The Dolphin's Editor-In-Chief Emerges Victorious in IWAG Awards 2024

The awarding ceremony for the 47th Batch of IWAG awardees by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) VI, May 29.

The Dolphin's Editor-In-Chief, Mdpn. Francis C. Baldemor, received the esteemed award alongside the University's Administrator, Captain Alfred G. Espinosa, Ph.D., and the publication's Adviser, Mr. Jehiel C. Caman.

Notably, the IWAG award, established by PIA VI in 1977, recognizes campus journalists in college and senior high school for promoting development communication and other relevant fields as well as academic achievement.

Director General Jose Torres Jr. of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), along with PIA 6 Regional Head Cheryl B. Amor, presented certificates and medals to the awardees.

This year's 47th batch from the college level comprises 18 campus journalists from Region VI.

It has been 10 years since The Dolphin publication last received the IWAG award.
