Educational Research and Development Assistance (ERDA) Foundation Inc. and John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. faculty and staff conducted a distribution of school supplies to 157 students from elementary to college at Sto. Niño Norte and Sur, Arevalo, August 17.
The program was graced by the opening remarks of Mr. Robert O. Parcia, MSMM – Administrator stating that he wants to “donate” a speaker and a microphone.
Spearheaded by Community Service Extention and Services officer, Mrs. Mirazol Dionson, JBLFMU-Arevalo and Assure-a-Child the Right Education (ACRE) with 23 employees and the Biker’s Club facilitated the event in giving the beneficiaries the necessities based on the social status and academic performance of students.
The unity ride started, consisting of Molo – Arevalo Biker’s Club, in a collaborative action of promoting oneness and strengthening the relationship between partner schools.
A total of 66 recipients including 1 college student from Sto. Niño Norte and 91 recipients including 3 college students from Sto. Niño Sur received the said supplies sponsored by employees and the Student Executive Council (SEC).
“Training-on naton ang aton mga kabataan sa sakto nga kaugalian kag pamatasan,” C/M Virmari S. Tan stated, following the said distribution.
ERDA is a non-government organization that helps students through JBLFMU-A while ACRE was established in 2012 and aims to help neighboring schools in Arevalo through its employees.
