In an unwavering commitment to promoting science, technology, and innovation in the region, Dr. Brian Gil S. Sarinas, 2/M Karl Danielle H. Sira, and 2/M Abcede A. Bangalisan II from John B. Lacson Foundation University (Arevalo), Inc., attended the 2024 Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week (RSTW) in Western Visayas in Sibalom, Antique.

The university's participation in the said event is due to the membership of JBLFMU-A in the Department of Science and Technology - Western Visayas Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-WVCIEERD).

Held at the University of Antique, the three-day activity will go on from August 22-24, 2024, featuring the launch of innovation hubs (iHub), DOST facilities, and Techno tour.

This year's theme, "Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan," celebrates the inventions and innovations in Western Visayas in the field of academy and industry.

"This will be a stepping stone for JBLFMU (Arevalo), Inc. to venture on invention and innovation in the maritime field," Dr. Sarinas stated.

The Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week 2024 serves as a platform to showcase DOST's various initiatives and projects that solidify the importance of science and technology in driving development across Western Visayas.
