Following an unfortunate and devastating fire incident, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. extends a helping hand to Cabasi-Sta. Rosa Integrated School by donating a total of 60 armchairs, August 27.
This accident razed down five classrooms and left 122 students without a proper learning environment.
With the initiative of Mr. Robert O. Parcia, MSMM, and C/M Virmari S. Tan, Ph.D. — 2/M Leo June Gelano, 3/M Arle Garlgalicano and Mrs. Mirazol Dionson ventured to Brgy. Sta. Rosa-Laguna, Guimbal to lead the said drive.
"As a Maritime Higher Education Institution (MHEI), it is our heartfelt duty to provide students with a conducive learning environment," 3/M Garlgalicano, a native of Guimbal stated.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cesar E. Estabalaya, Principal II of Cabasi ES, highlighted that JBLFMU-A did not only provide necessary resources to students but has also "inspired hope and resilience within the school community."
It was known that last August 18, the fire destroyed classrooms made of concrete and steel, burning all the equipment, books and materials within the school vicinity.
