Women in Maritime Philippines' former presidentsโ€”D/C Irena Jane Peรฑafiel, D/C Kezia Camille Tenefrancia, and 2/M Majella Angelie Parreรฑo-Albances came together as guest speakers for the third year of Girl Talks at the JBL lobby, March 28.

Deck Cadet Peรฑafiel who was the organization's president during the Academic Year (A.Y.) 2021-2022, delivered an inspirational message to the 55 female cadets.

Meanwhile, D/C Tenefrancia, President last A.Y. 2022-2023 gave an inspirational message highlighting how confidence played a crucial role in her journey towards being a deck cadet.

Second Mate Albances, WIMAPHIL's President during A.Y. 2010-2011, discussed the meaning behind this year's theme, "Channelling Inner Womanhood: Forging SHE-farers to write HERstory," by sharing the "eras" of her life.

The Girl Talks series was co-founded by 2/M Albances and D/C Tenefrancia in 2023 and has been conducted annually during the month of March, in line with the International Women's Month.
