With the goal to showcase and build Lacsonian camaraderie and sportsmanship, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. officially launched the Lacsonian Sports Cup (LSC) 2025 last Wednesday at the JBLFMU-A covered court.

Facilitated by the Student Executive Council (SEC), the opening was initiated by a foot parade of over 20 combined student clubs and organizations starting at the campus’ field to the covered court.

The department heads then delivered their messages for the said event leading up to the reading of the rules and guidelines followed by a series of exhibition matches between the Student Executive Council (SEC), JBLFMU-A’s Student Publication, dormers, and JBFLMU-A’s Disaster Risk Reduction Unit not long after.

With the theme, “United as Lacsonians: Unleashing strength, conquering the path to victory and excellence!," the sports tournament is set to last more than a month, from March 12 to April 29.

This year’s LSC consists of basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess billiards, and esports, namely, Mobile Legends: Bangbang (MLBB), Call of Duty Mobile (CODM), and League of Legends: Wild Rift (LoL: WR).
