โ€œEmpowerment knows no gender.โ€

John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. conducted a Gender and Development (GAD) seminar for all the employees in celebration of Womenโ€™s History Month held at the JBL Hall on March 12, 2025.

To grace the event, University Administrator, Mr. Robert O. Parcia, MSMM, opened the seminar with a message and a salute of respect, along with the male employees, to all the women in attendance.

With the theme โ€œCombating Sexual Harassment in the Workplace,โ€ the talk was centered around the Sexual Harassment and Safe Spaces Act RA. 11313 (Bawal Bastos Law) from which among the topics discussed were gender, forms of gender discrimination, and types of violence.
