Engineer Roderick R. Germo, Ph.D., received the Philippine Academy of Fellows in Research and Evaluations (PAFERE) Research Fellow Award at the 32nd Annual Conference of the Philippine Society for Educational Research and Evaluation (PSERE) held at the Librada Avelino Auditorium, Centro Escolar University, Mendiola, Manila, on May 26-27, 2025.
The PAFERE Research Fellow Award acknowledges distinguished individuals with significant contributions to research and evaluation in the Philippines.
Besides multiple published papers, some of Engr. Germoโs notable accomplishments in research include coauthoring the study "Effectiveness of Problem-based Learning (PBL) on Maritime Professional Courses in a Blended Learning Modality,โ which secured second place for Best Poster during the 31st PSERE Conference, the same study that was later published in TransNav, an International Journal on Marine Navigation and Safety.
During the 29th PSERE conference in 2022, Engr. Germo was also a Professional in Educational Research (PER) Awardee, and just recently, he joined the research referee panel for the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) research projects.
Moreover, in a Facebook appreciation post, Engr. Germo expressed his utmost gratitude to his family, loved ones, and colleagues.
