John B. Lascon Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. grounds witnessed the prestigious Ring Hop and Pinning Ceremony 2025 to its 652 graduating studentsโBatch Tagilasik yesterday afternoon, June 13.ย
Parents and guardians of the senior class comprising third-year Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) and fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCRIM) students graced the program as the graduates received their class ring and pins as a symbol of their graduation milestone.
The recognition program formally commenced with a heartfelt opening remark from Mr. Robert O. Parcia, MSMM, Administrator which rooted in the theme: "Forged to Lead, Anchored in Integrity." This was followed by inspirational messages from C/M Virmari S. Tan, Ph.D., Dean, BSMT Department and Director for International Relations of JBLFMU System, and Ret. PBGEN. June M. Jamolo, Dean, BSCRIM Department.
Meanwhile, C/M Joey S. Infante 2025, Local Organization President of JCI REGATTA and the event's inspirational speaker talked about consistencyโ" keep upgrading and evolving yourself"โ and gave a gentle reminder to the said graduating batch. He emphasized that success is not being the first, the fastest or the most decorative personโit is about becoming the person you were truly meant to be.
The four-hour-long event was organized by the Student Executive Council and spearheaded by Mdpn. Rommel Sajo, chairman of the ceremony.
Notably, "Tagilasik" defines this graduating batch as fearless mariners forged by knowledge and courage with unwavering respect for their dreams as they are ready to face the vast seas and lead with honor.
