Fifteen company-sponsored and placement cadets entered the university dormitory, after signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with their parents and going through a series of obstacles as part of the initiation process last July 12, at the university grounds.
These second and third year students are cadets under three maritime companies. Three of them were from Bouvet Shipping Management Corporation, seven came from Phoenix Maritime Corporation, and five of which are with Veritas Maritime Corporation.
Sixteen senior dormers from Stolt Nielsen Philippines Inc. and Bouvet Shipping Management facilitated the MOA signing and organized the initiation obstacles.ย
They also guided and prepared the junior dormers weeks before the day of the initiation.
Dorm masters, 2/M Karl Danielle H. Sira and 2/M Abcede Bangalisan II, were also present during the said activity as they not only gave lectures on dormitory rules and customs but also oversaw the entire event.
The university's dormitory program aims to instill discipline, wellness, and leadership skills among the cadets while still pursuing excellence in their academics.
