JA Freshmen explore John B, join student-led organizations

Number one!

The freshmen proudly roared as they congregated for the annual Pang Abi-Abi.

With the theme “Setting Sail with Purpose: Honoring Culture, Shaping Tomorrow,” John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. launched Pang Abi-Abi 2025 “How to Train Your Dragon” edition earlier this day, July 15, 2025, at the JBLFMU-A covered gym.

Starting off with the university walk to formally welcome the new students, the program proceeded with the opening remarks from Mr. Robert O. Parcia, MSMM, Administrator, followed by a series of intermission numbers, talent showcases, and games.

After the presentation of uniforms, exhibited by the second and third year students, Ms. Majah Angelica V. Sapio, RPm, introduced JBLFMU’s core values (I-PLEDGE).

In addition, D/C Marc Gerard L. Camba, former Student Executive Council President, then continued with a valuable talk to the freshmen before the faculty, staff, SEC, and SSG officers were finally introduced.

For the afternoon program, the new students were then taken around the university for the much-awaited campus tour before gathering again in the gym for the last event, the registration and recruitment of clubs and organizations, to officially conclude the one-day event.
