The Bureau of Fire Protection evaluated the fire drill for the John B. Lacson Foundation (JBLF) Arevalo Training Site for the academic year 2025-2026 last September 19, 2025.

Lead evaluator SFO2 Jeane Engada, together with SFO1 Denmark Macoco, and FO1 Jason Berte, and the BFP Region VI Sto. Niño Sur Station staff commended the responsiveness of the training site, marking it an 'excellent performance'.

The fire drill consisted of evacuation, combatting fire, search and rescue, and giving medical attention to the victims.

A debriefing was conducted shortly after discussing the performance, recommendations, and suggestions that would enhance the school's capability in dealing with a fire emergency.

The drill was facilitated by the Disaster Risk Reduction Unit (DRRU). Meanwhile, the College Red Cross Youth (CRCY), together with the school doctor and nurse, acted as medics, and the university dormers acted as participants.

Notably, this fire drill marks the first for the training center and the second for the university.

Participation in this event aligns with the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs): Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8); Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9); Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11); Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
